Internship Description
We are seeking a talented Political Science student for a 2-month research internship focusing on the analysis of political discourse and public policy communication. This position will complement our technical team, which already includes ML engineers, by bringing domain expertise in political systems, governance structures, and public policy frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Analyze diverse political content from various sources and across the political spectrum
- Categorize and label political statements according to established frameworks
- Research and document political communication patterns and policy positions
- Support the development of evaluation methodologies for content analysis
- Contribute to a comprehensive taxonomy of political discourse
- Collaborate with our technical team to enhance AI-driven analysis capabilities
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Political Science, Public Policy, International Relations, or related field
- Strong understanding of diverse political systems, ideologies, and policy frameworks
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to categorize complex political content
- Familiarity with content analysis methodologies in social sciences
- Native or C1-level fluency in French is required
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
- Excellent writing and documentation skills in both French and English
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team environment
Desired Qualifications
- Interest in the intersection of technology and political science
- Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts (no technical expertise required)
- Experience with data annotation or content classification projects
- Familiarity with contemporary political discourse across multiple countries
- Previous research experience in political communication or public policy
